Increase Your Traffic with Article Submission Sites
You might have noticed two prominent additions to this website this week. First, I posted an entry on my inclusion in the W.O.O.F. Contest newsletter of sorts as hosted by Plotdog.Com. Unlike most contests you find in the blogosphere today, WOOF doesn’t actually promise you any of those grand prizes we’ve come to know (and love, of course). What it does, though, is that it allows writers to submit their best articles and creative writing projects for inclusion in a specific week’s newsletter (of sorts). Fellow writers vote on all the entries and select which ones should be featured. All participants should then post the results on their own blog, thus creating links to the winning writers. It’s free and it’s very good for people in need of decent back-links, like me! Second, the Ezine Articles expert badge does mean something. I submitted a few of my articles to Ezine Articles, to be featured in their roster of informative posts. It makes sense to do so, since it allows me to expand and somehow invite more people to my website. It’s also free, and you just have to sign up to submit your articles. It’s true that content is king, and without decent content you’re pretty much screwed. People can be fooled into visiting your site a few times, but after that it’s over. Even with great content, though, you still need to make sure that it gets to people, otherwise, you’re still screwed. It’s best that you reach as many readers as possible, and it takes effort to do so. Article submission and joining other writers (or other bloggers in your specific niche) can be quite useful in increasing your number of readers. Try it out; it’s free anyway. |
